Why are x-rays necessary?
Even during the most thorough dental exam, it is impossible to see decay that might be forming in the tiniest recesses of the mouth and in between teeth. With x-rays, we can catch cavities when they are just developing, before they can be seen from the surface. There are also a lot of other dental issues, such as tumors, cysts, abscesses, and bone loss that are tough to spot with the naked eye.
When it comes to dentistry, treating problems while they are small is generally less painful and less expensive, and x-rays give us an opportunity to do that.
We are pleased to provide our patients with digital x-rays for a safer experience.
